Casa Tikú
Set on the oceanfront at Playa Tikú, Costa Maya, Casa Tikú grows out of a direct relationship with the tropical landscape. The architecture settles among palm trees, native vegetation and gardens that accompany every path, creating an experience where interior and exterior read as a single atmosphere.
The project is built from organic materials and natural textures — timber, stone, woven fibres and mineral finishes — that age with dignity and reinforce its serene character. Its pitched roofs, open pavilions, latticework and large openings respond to the climate, encouraging ventilation, shade and a controlled entry of natural light.
Rather than impose itself on the site, the house sets out to inhabit it. The spaces are arranged around water and vegetation, framing views of the sea and creating different scales of intimacy. The result is a contemporary retreat: warm and deeply connected to the nature of the Mexican coast.
