Casa Mayakoba
Set within the Mayakoba development, this residence sets out to carry the visitor through a sense of nature from the very entrance. The first impression is a floating chukum volume from which vegetation spills out of the planters. Past the entrance threshold, framed by a wooden screen that conceals the door joints, we move through a vestibule that works as a transition of both scale and space. A house that resolves five full bedrooms while keeping a modest scale to the eye.
